Support for children and young people
- Kids helpline provides 24/7 support to children and young people on 1800 55 1800 and via email or webchat. Kids helpline provides information for children and young people about looking after mental health during COVID-19.
- Headspace and ReachOut provide information for children and young people about coping with stress related to COVID-19.
Mental health support
- Beyond Blue has produced a guide to mental wellbeing during the Coronavirus outbreak. The Beyond Blue Support Service offers short-term counselling and referrals by phone and webchat on 1300 22 4636.
Catjump Preschool is a sessional, not for profit community kindergarten offering programs for 3 and 4 year old children. The preschool is situated in a quiet residential area with views from the playground to a pine tree reserve and community park. The kindergarten setting creates a natural and tranquil environment for the children to explore.
The educational program is based on the National and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Frameworks and is committed to developing a strong sense of belonging and community amongst the children, staff and families.
Languages other than English are fostered within the program. The kindergarten’s library has over 2000 books helping to nurture the children’s curiosity and interests.
Catjump Preschool is an awarded ‘Kids Go For Your Life’ service promoting healthy eating and active play.
Catjump Preschool acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians and owners of this land and waters. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present and to the children who are their leaders of tomorrow. We acknowledge their history and living culture.
