We are proud of our long and rich history of community involvement and ownership of the preschool by families, children, teachers, staff and members of the local community. This strong sense of belonging and community forms the basis of our learning programs for the children and reflects our belief that it takes a community to raise a child.
Catjump’s philosophy statement is the result of a collaborative process between the management committee, families, teachers, and staff and most importantly is a vivid reflection of our children’s voices.
About Us
Catjump Preschool is a sessional, not for profit community kindergarten offering programs for 3 and 4-year-old children. The preschool is situated in a quiet residential area with views from the playground to a pine tree reserve and community park. The kindergarten setting creates a natural and tranquil environment for the children to explore.
Catjump Preschool acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians and owners of this land and waters. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present and to the children who are their leaders of tomorrow. We acknowledge their history and living culture.

Child Safe Environment
Catjump Preschool is committed to providing a Child Safe environment. The service understands the legal and moral obligation to report abuse allegations and/or concerns regarding a child’s safety and wellbeing to the appropriate authorities. All staff members complete annual Child Safe training.
